Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy defines activity that is not allowed on StreamData Networks services. It applies to VPS, dedicated servers, protected network services, IP addresses and related infrastructure.
Illegal activity
Services may not be used for activity that violates applicable law, regulation, court order or rights of another party.
Security abuse
- Malware, ransomware, exploit kits, botnets or command-and-control systems.
- Phishing, credential harvesting, impersonation or account takeover activity.
- Unauthorized scanning, brute force, credential stuffing or access attempts.
- DDoS origination, reflection, amplification or traffic designed to disrupt third-party systems.
Messaging abuse
Spam, unsolicited bulk email, mail bombing, forged headers, open relays, purchased spam lists and abuse of messaging infrastructure are prohibited.
Content abuse
Hosting content that is illegal, infringes intellectual property, exposes private credentials, enables fraud or creates material operational or legal risk is prohibited.
Network abuse
Customers may not run services that degrade network stability, evade filters, spoof traffic, attack others, overload shared infrastructure or violate upstream provider rules.
Customer security duty
You must maintain secure passwords, SSH keys, application updates, firewall rules, monitoring and abuse response. Compromised systems may be suspended or filtered until corrected.
Investigation
StreamData Networks may review logs, traffic patterns, abuse reports and customer responses to investigate suspected abuse. Customers must cooperate with reasonable remediation requests.
Enforcement
Depending on severity, StreamData Networks may warn, rate-limit, null-route, filter, suspend, terminate, preserve evidence or report activity to relevant authorities.
Reporting abuse
Abuse reports should include IP address, timestamp with timezone, logs, packet captures, URLs, email headers or other evidence that allows verification.
Updates
This policy may be updated for legal, upstream, security or operational reasons. Continued service use means acceptance of updated policy.
