Direct answer: StreamData Networks does not currently publish Hyderabad as one of its physical infrastructure locations. Its public company page names Mumbai, Noida and Jaipur. For a Hyderabad workload, Mumbai is the first StreamData node worth benchmarking, but buyers should compare the actual route and application response before deciding.
Hyderabad is still a high-value city target. It is one of India’s largest technology markets, with a dense base of SaaS, enterprise software, pharma IT, analytics, gaming and global capability-centre workloads. That makes “VPS hosting in Hyderabad” commercially relevant even when the honest product is delivered from a different named node.
Does StreamData have a Hyderabad node?
Not according to the current published location strategy. StreamData names:
- Mumbai for western-region hosting and public-facing workloads;
- Noida for north-India and Delhi-NCR workloads;
- Jaipur for regional hosting and disaster-recovery positioning.
If physical Hyderabad residency is a hard requirement, put it into the quotation and do not infer it from a city article. If low latency is the requirement, request test IPs from the available StreamData nodes and benchmark them.
Why Mumbai should be tested first
Mumbai is StreamData’s published western-India location and a major national interconnection market. For many Hyderabad ISPs, it is a sensible first route to test. It is not guaranteed to be fastest from every connection because BGP routing, peering, congestion and last-mile conditions can change the path.
| Measurement | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Ping | Basic round-trip delay |
| MTR/traceroute | Carrier path and where loss/latency appears |
| Packet loss/jitter | Route stability |
| HTTP TTFB | Network plus server/application responsiveness |
| p95/p99 transaction time | Tail latency users actually experience |
Hyderabad VPS workloads
A single city can contain very different server requirements:
- SaaS/API: CPU tail latency, queue depth and database calls.
- Pharma/enterprise apps: memory, predictable response and backup governance.
- Analytics: memory and storage throughput.
- Game servers: single-thread speed, jitter and DDoS scope.
- Development/CI: burst CPU, builds and storage writes.
- Windows business apps: RDP latency, RAM per user and licensing.
Current StreamData VPS catalogue
StreamData’s public VPS range uses KVM virtualisation, RAID NVMe storage and root access. Entry plans start at ₹149/month and scale through larger memory/CPU tiers. The 4 vCPU / 8 GB / 80 GB RAID NVMe tier at ₹1,438/month is a common production reference point in the catalogue, but it is not a universal recommendation.
Size from peak observations:
- peak CPU and run queue;
- resident memory and swap;
- database/storage latency;
- monthly transfer and peak interface use;
- backup size and restore duration.
When Hyderabad businesses should consider 9950X VPS
StreamData also publishes a Ryzen 9 9950X VPS range for workloads where fast per-thread execution matters. This is appropriate when one hot application thread, game loop or compiler stage is the bottleneck. It is not automatically better for highly parallel workloads.
When bare metal becomes cleaner
Dedicated hardware is a better fit when CPU is continuously saturated, large memory is required, direct storage control matters, licensing is tied to physical cores, or a customer policy requires single-tenant hardware. StreamData’s dedicated inventory spans Xeon, Ryzen and EPYC systems.
Hyderabad disaster recovery
If Mumbai is selected as primary, use a genuinely separate failure domain for recovery. Jaipur or Noida can be discussed as backup/standby candidates depending on RPO, RTO and application design.
Do not call two VMs on the same host “disaster recovery.” Important recovery copies should be independently restorable and protected from the same administrative or storage failure.
DDoS protection
StreamData positions its services behind a protected network path, but buyers should verify the exact prefix and product. Ask whether mitigation is always-on or triggered, which protocols are covered, whether Layer 7 protection is separate, and whether the test IP follows the same protected route as production.
Hyderabad migration checklist
- Measure the current server before sizing the replacement.
- Request Mumbai and, if useful, alternate-node test IPs.
- Test from Hyderabad office, broadband and mobile networks.
- Provision monitoring and backups before DNS cutover.
- Perform an initial data copy and a final delta sync.
- Test logins, API writes, uploads and scheduled jobs.
- Keep the old environment available for rollback.
Bottom line
Hyderabad is a major technology market, but StreamData’s public node list remains Mumbai, Noida and Jaipur. The correct Hyderabad strategy is to benchmark those real nodes, choose the best route for the workload, and design compute, DDoS protection and recovery from evidence.
Next step: review StreamData VPS plans, the location strategy, and request test IPs before moving production.
